According to an article in the International edition of the Wall street
journal (US edition had a 3 paragraph article) on 4/18/89 Irving Gould said
that commodore is considering either building a factory in germany, or
upgrading its existing facility there. He went on to say, the company will
be developing a new improved c64/128 with better graphics and faster
processing speed, but compatible with the older version. In addition, sales
for the quarter were up about 5-10% after taking into account the weaker
german mark (by about 14%)
