Gabe….as to your "hello" to Copperman, feel free to use my name. As to the education controversy…. My opinion is this: The education market is very important for a company that wants to increase or maintain share in the home market. The exposure kids get to whatever pc theyre using in school is well worth the effort. I think coppermans background is ideal for this, and once the amiga begins to get significant penetration in the educational market, sales to households will follow. Although only one area that commodore should be addressing, it is very important to their strategic goals. Now, if you add to all this Apples quandary, which Copperman im sure is familiar with, the results a year down the line could be better than anyone now expects. There is great controversy about Apples committment to the apple II line. Many seem to feel that apple is NNOT supporting the II line, that it is playing stepchild to the successful MAC line. If Apple decides to try to convert the educational market over to the MAC, the amiga will have an incredible opportunity to compete on price/performance. Apple cant endow the II line with features equivalent to the amiga, because then that would be in direct competition with the more expensive mac line.
