I have a 1 meg A500 and an HP Laserjet IIP. Unfortunately, the
quality of the text that I am able to print is terrible. What looks decent
on 24 pin fades on a laser. Even Pro Page leaves much to be desired. (Not
enough memory for extended use of CG fonts) Is there a solution to this
problem until I get more printer and CPU RAM? Most every font that I have
downloaded suffers from being either non-proportional or very jaggy looking
at final output.
Try turning on "Smoothing" — either in Preferences or in the PPage output
dialogue box, I don't remember. But PLEASE get more RAM! I use PPage on a
HP LaserJet IIP and it looks GREAT!
Well, what fonts are you using? Workbench fonts and Zuma fonts look bad to
me. I agree that CG fonts look great and the ultimate solution is more RAM,
but until my 4meg Baseboard arrives, I'm stuck.
