Hi, all! I am having a (well, really several) problem(s). All my software
was working okay except I could not figure out how to download. So, I went
to a new computer store to find out how to do that. They gave me several PD
disks, which was nice, except that now nothing I had before (or after)
works. I keep getting things like READ/WRITE error on DF1 or whatever. I
have tried initializing brand new disks to use for saves, and get that
message. BTW, they told me I had a virus when I went to the store, which I
had never seen before. I had not used any disks except theirs from the
first time I went in, but they said I must have. I don't want to sound
paranoid, but has anybody heard of stores deliberately introducing viruses
or something? I really need help! My world is crumbling around me!

First of all, get VirusX (Library 14) and clean up all of your disks. Then,
run with VirusX in your startup sequence so you won't get any new ones. It
will warn you the instant you stick a disk into the drive.
Then, start your machine from a cold start – turn it off, leave it off at
least 30 seconds, then turn it on, and try your term program. Which one
are you using?
