How to Count Slots

Ron it doesn't seem to be all THAT bad. The number of slots NEEDED is
decreased by one because of the inclusion of the SCSI interface on the
mother board, and then by another because you have space for 18 MB (total)
on the mother board — 2 MB chip and 16 MB fast.
I nentioned all that in ny discussion. The real problems are with the pc
side, for those of us who need that.

Well, the 2000 seems like the machine you will stick with then. That is,
until CBU comes up with a one-slot killer '386 bridgeboard with VGA,
Serial, and space for 2MB RAM (minimum). (Yeah, right, I'll believe that
one after I convert from Judaism and start believeing in Santa Claus)

Well, I'll stay Jewish, but if CBM really comes thru on this and a '3500' I
might yet believe in Santa!

The local dealer got the "Introduction to the A3000" video tape today. In
one scene they show the expansion slots. It appears that the slots are on a
daughter board socketed to the motherboard. Looks like an opportunity for
an enterprising hardware manufacturer…. Or perhaps it's an indication of
larger machines to come.
