Betty, i've been trying to figure out whap for a long time now, but here's a question on another subject altogether. As i understand it my amiga 500 purchased from a dealer in october 1989 could have one of the following configurations: 1-The old Agnus chip 2-The new Agnus chip which is not properly wired or connected 3-The new Agnus chip configured totake full advantage of aavailbl chip ram. I do have a 512 internal ram expander. When i type the avail command i get about 500 chip and 500k fast. i think this means i fall into category 1 or 2 above, but i don't know which, and before i order the 100 dollar chip i'd like to know if i already have it, but its just not connected. How do i tell any help or aadvice on this whole ssubject would be apprecisted.

Dan, the best way would be to open your computer and look at the number on the chip. I remember that the new Agnus has a 2 for the units' digit, but I do not recall the entire number. Bet someone else here will know, though! ……Betty
