I quite like the sound of that. Mainly for high quality stills, unfortunately, right now at least, I have seen more demand for animation as a whole rather than stills especially in my area of corporate video and local commercials.

Martin, Most of our customers are Architects and high quality stills are very important in their presentations, while animation is used very little. I would like to see more of them get into animation and maybe a BIG D link to 3DS add some incentive. Thanks for your comments. Dennis Bragg

"… IPAS is a programming interface interface that lets you use the C programming language to customize … 3d studio with external processes". You need a Watcom or Metaware compiler which is compatible with the Phar-lap dos extender and also the IPAS developers kit. I'm considering getting into this myself since I think it has incredible potential. I'd also like to say I have created 4k x 4k images in 3ds version 1 on many occasions and while this does cause mucho disk paging they took around 1 – 1.5 hours to complete 1 frame. Of course, they were for stills so that's not bad I reckon. Finally, I would like to see your demo, if possible. My mailing address is: Martin Foster 26292 Eva Street Laguna Hills CA 92656

Martin, Thanks for the info on IPAS. I am going to look into it. It's good to hear from a 3DS user who has create 4k images, and 1 – 1.5 hours if a _very_ good time. I'm going to have to up to speed (no pun intended) on 3DS before I open my big mouth (and insert foot) on this forum again<g>. Your BIG D demo will be mailed this week. Let me know if you have any questions. Dennis Bragg
