Unfortunately, yes it will. But if you want to plow ahead, you can use the
Reset to set the virtual screen to 640×480. Some of your images will be
outside of the display screen and you'll have to use the [Pan] button now
and then, but you should be able to get through the tutorials. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Now I can proceed with the tutorials without being
worried about getting half way through and hitting a brick wall.
