The Director & 2.04

What happened to support for the Director… I am having a real bad time
with it since I up graded my operating system to 2.04. Whats the deal? Is
there an upgrade? I am working on something important right now and the
thing keep crashing my system(the editor) I really want to still use the
Director and would be seriously bummed if I had to try and make something
else do the same job the Director used to do. T.Gray
Make sure you have the latest editor update from the library section of
this forum. I have had no difficulties using the current version under
2.04, if you are using the latest update and are still haveing problems,
could you be more specific?

I haven't gotten any updates since I originaly upgraded to director 2.0
from 1.0. Are there any other upgrades I need?

ALL the updates are online on CompuServe. The main UPDATE program updates
all non-freely distributable portions of your program, and the freely
distributable modules and Proj2 files are individually downloadable. All
of this is available in the Amiga Vendor Forum in section 14 – Right
Answers, in the library.

Keith–
I just got a copy of the Director (from Briwall). I notice that all my
files are dated back in January of 1991. Does that I mean I have to
update? I downloaded the update files for someone on bix a few months ago.
I don't want to go through that again. Have the files been changed since
then?
Thanks.

You never HAVE to update, but you may want to. The latest Projector file
(Proj2) is version 2.19. The only bug fix that is critical is the one that
went in at 2.01 which fixed 2091 disk controller compatibility problems
which could cause it not to work at all. You might browse the library
section for more specifics on the individual update files. Everything is
available online, there is nothing that cannot be updated from here.

Thanks Keith. I seem to be all set. Now to find some time to go throught
the manual.
It looks to be very well done, BTW. I am looking forward to it.
