Tom Price mentioned a couple of days ago that Microsoft had posted MSCDEX
v2.21 in a self-extracting file, MMEXT.EXE, in MSL-1 here on CIS. The MM
extensions are there too; and the files are primarily for use with Windows
3.1. There have been a couple of reported problems with MSCDEX from that
source already. When I compared it to an older copy of version 2.21 that
has run successfully for most people, the new version above had numerous
differences. Both files are the same length, but the one above is dated
2/4/92. The old version usually is dated 7/91. If one of the programmers
among you all could pick the differences apart and/or test it briefly, we'd
all be grateful!
