I just bought Great Literature from Bureau of Electronic Publishing for
$79. It has more than 500 complete literary works; most of them are
different from the ones contained in Library of the Future. It uses a new
version of DiscPassage that allows use of virtual memory (expanded or
extended) for greater speed. Printer routine is easy (F7). To hear all of
the audio selections (83), just type 'hear audio' at the search screen, to
see pictures (302), type 'see pictures'. Audio is mostly solo violin (not
digitized) or voices of TV personalities reading passages. The sound works
very well, with nice clarity and volume, even on my DAK (BSR) 286 system,
that does not have an enhanced sound board. It's in High Sierra format (a
sub-set of ISO-9660). An enjoyable disc.
Does it allow you to download the works? I want to use it with my Speach
Thing to have it "read" to my son as he follows along on the scre
en.

Yes, you can download the files to a ASCII file. From there, I'm sure
Speech Thing can turn it into sound.
