De-Interlace Monitors

Does anyone understand how the IBM SVGA monitors can de-interlace ? Would
it be possible to use one of these monitors, rather than by a frame buffer
("Flicker Fixer") and a multi-synch monitor ? I think I remeber reading how
to hook up a VGA to the RGB port. Anyone have any ideas ?
The IBM non-interlaced monitors aren't doing the deinterlacing… they just
support the higher refresh from the non-interlaced graphics cards…
No you CANNOT USE an IBM SVGA monitor to deinterlace.
Yes, you can use most any IBM VGA monitor with a "flicker-fixer", instead
of a more expensive multisync. Just be sure that you keep the VGA connected
ONLY to the flicker-fixer. Yes, VGA is different from SGVA.
A multi-sync is only necessary if you are going to use it with the other
15khz modes on the 23 pin port as well as the flicker-fixer port.
You can use a VGA for the productivity mode of ECS, but its a real bear and
difficult because too many programs do not use the productivity mode. A
multi-sync with ECS productivity and no flicker-fixer is easier.
Productivity mode stinks. It slows down HD and serial I/O and probably
most all other DMA activity.
