#No response for me…

Emilio,
I have talked to a lot of people lately, it seems, who want 3ds2 but don't
want to pay for it! Strange concept!<g> I'd like to travel round the world
personally, but I don't want to pay for it. I'd also like a brand new
Mercedes…….. ad nauseum
Mr. Foster: Your message should say: I HAVE TALKED A LOT… <punto> And
keep doing it… When I'm addressing ADESK with my interest for 3DS is NOT
because I dont want to pay for it. I have submited a proposal for an
EXCHANGE of some material I have developed. I ALSO am a developer. So
far I dont know if a Third party Dev for 3d studio must pay or not.
Personally I think ADESK would be lucky of having me as one.
Anyway… afterall I DID NOT address you for nothing and consider your
comments totally irrelevant.

Well, I'm glad you have such a good opinion of yourself… someone needs
to… Was that your windows player that was posted on the forum today?

Emilio,
Whoa, back off, sir. Any message posted in the general forum
(non-restricted sections) is pretty much fair game for anyone to reply to.
Private messages can be sent through EMAIL, or applications developers may
use the restricted developer's sections. I think your tone is a bit
nastier than the situation warrants. Martin Foster has been of tremendous
help to other forum members, and I value his participation. Many of us
reply to messages not directed specifically toward us, and is a part of the
feeling of community often perceived here. Of course, now I'm butting in
where unasked.
In my own experience as an Autodesk developer (at least in regards to
AutoCAD, the Multimedia folks may have different programs), the products
have been provided free-of-charge, although use is restricted to
development purposes, and developer serial numbers are used. The products
usually are not able to be upgraded, or used for other commercial purposes.
Often use is only for a limited time, and the software must be returned to
Autodesk or destroyed. I would suggest you contact John Sergneri @
415/491-8533 regarding developer status, or to otherwise direct you
internally to the appropriate parties. That doesn't seem to be a general
forum activity. We've appreciated your contributions in the past, and hope
you will continue your efforts.
Thank you.

If I may venture a comment: When you write a message here in the ADESK
Forum, it is considered public! That means that ANYONE, including Martin
Foster, has every right to make a comment on it's content. If you did not
wish to open yourself up to criticism, you should have made your comments
private mail to the Autodesk Sysop.
And, on top of that, you seem a bit overly defensive, my friend.
