#WOA in New York!
15 messages in this thread
Steve,
I'll be attending the World of Amiga Show in New York this Saturday. Is
there anything in particular you would like me to check out? I can then
include it in my show report, which I'll post here. Let me know, please.

Hi, Dom —
Pardon my intrusion! While you are cruising WOA, please check out that
mysterious spreadsheet which (if memory serves me right) was rumored to
have been signed to contract recently (within the last several months). The
time and place ought to be right for some info, maybe even an
announcement… My suspicions are that this is the one that Khalid
Aldoseri has been working on, but I don't know that. — I reeeeely want
something I can use in my office without major annoyances, and have been
hanging on to the hope that such a need for a good 'sheet would be met by
someone. Good hunting, and thanks!

Ed,
I don't know if a spreadsheet will be announced at WOA. I do know that
there is a new one that's expected to start shipping in June. Since no
announcement has been made to date I can't mention the publisher but the
spreadsheet situation for the Amiga should improve greatly in June.

I too am waiting on this new SS that is rumored to be almost done.
Without bending NDA what can you tell you about it?
I could tell you a bunch about it but it isn't my place to do so.
When the author and/or the publisher want to talk about it publically
(that should be soon) you'll get all the gory details.
Well, if this mysterious author/publisher is hanging around (gee,
could he be? :-), it would be great if he'd contact some of us
journalists who are saddled with three-month lead times who'd love to
get some timely coverage in our magazines of this long-awaited
product. Me, hinting? Moi? 🙂
Well, both are active forum members so hopefully one or the other will
contact you.
Can you give us the second letter in the authors first name?

Paul,
Hehehehe — well, I think it's obvious that it's Khalid. Until the publisher
announces, tho, I'll let that remain a mystery.
Ed,
The only spreadsheet I saw was Professional Calc. I saw your messsage
after I returned from the show and while I was there I wasn't really
interested in spreadsheets. Sorry.

Nothing in particular but everything new!

I got back from the WOA Show. It was very nice, but I was
disappointed that NewTek didn't have their usual front booth
presence. However, the attendance was good. I'll post a show report
soon. One new music product that I hadn't seen before was Symphony. A
good show overall. I wore my AMigaForums ribbon, but unfortunately I
didn't see one other person with the ribbon.
