For a variety of reasons I decided to move from my 2090a and ST506 type hard
drive to a 2091 and SCSI drive. I installed the 2091 in the machine along with
the 2090a, ran HDToolbox and format and set up the second drive without
problems. It comes up SDH0:. Since I want to remove the 2090a system I simply
dragged the old hard drive icon into the new one to copy all the files over.
Turns out that was not quite right since it installed all the files in a
drawer. So then I dragged and moved all the files out of the drawer and up
onto the workbench. Everything looks fine. Both disks have the same setup all
around, just different names.
So, I remove the 2090a and try to boot. Get the diskette screen (I'm in 2.0,
by the way). Insert a boot diskette and it doesn't even see the 2091 drive.
Put the 2090a back in and all is well.
What am I missing here?

Did you by any chance remove the autoboot jumper from the 2091 when you
had it in the machine with the 2090A? Check and make sure that the jumper
is on properly. You might also want to go into HDtoolbox and rename the
drive to HD0 or something rather than SDH0:. How large a drive is you
ST506 drive? You might want to go ahead and back it up to floppies, and
then install the 2091 as if it's the first time it's in the system, and
then restore from the floppies.
