What kind of HD drives are these?…..have CBM released a HD floppy or is
it a PC drive?.
If its a CBM part do you know the part number, I want one 😉

Both types of my internal 3.5 inch drives are Chinon drives made in
Japan for Commodore. The high density drive is just a replacement A3000
high density drive.
As Denny, my dealer, et. al. said, it has to be jumpered and cabled as
DF0:(and PC0:). The J301 jumper on the motherboard had to be set for my
Amiga 2000HD to recognize that DF1:/PC1: was present.

The one I'm talking about is an Amiga high density drive, part number
FB-357A (Chinon drive)

What sort of price are these drives going for in U.S?…I am not
aware of any HD floppies available in the U.K that will work with the old
Amigas (2000 & WB 2.1).
I would very much like to get hold of a one, and if they are a fair price
over there I will mail order them, got to keep the exchange rate in mind
these days ;-).
Does anybody know if they will also work ok (as HD and DD) in conjunction
with the CBM 386BB that I have?. At the moment I share DF0 (880/720k) with
the BB and have a separate HD floppy in the 5.25 bay, it would be real
nice to have DF0 as a HD as well.

I got my HiD drive for about $90 dollars US.
I don't know about the bridgeboard, but the HiD wont work right with a
Vortex 286+ (in high density)

Yes, my HD drive was 90 something also. I think they are really intended
for 3000 owners, (and they have a matching color) but they *do* work.
