BBS Programs

Hi. I read in the Feb.93 Amiga World about a couple of software programs for
people who might want to set up a small BBS. One was called Falcon BBS. The
other was BaudBandit BBS. Is there any chance of these programs showing up on
CIS? And if they are already here, maybe you can help me figure out how I
missed them. Thanks for the info.

I don't know if the programs you mentioned are online or not, but if they are
they'd be in AmigaUser rather than AmigaTech.

You can find all of the available BBS programs available for the Amiga by
going to the AmigaUser Forum, then at the LIB prompt, enter:
BRO LIB:5 KEY:BBS

Henry, if you're looking for a freeware BBS program, you definately want
to get Proteus. It's very flexible and it supports my ParaBIT multichannel
access software. Just go to Amigauser lib 5 and do a "Browse Key:Proteus"
and download Proteus itself and then ParaBIT. First install Proteus then
install ParaBIT (just run the install scripts and make an Assign), reboot
and run the BBSStart script and then you're all set.
If you're wondering what ParaBIT is, it lets Amiga users download, upload
and use menus/messages all at once and the up/downloads are full-speed.
IMHO, Proteus is definately the best of the freeware BBSs.
