Sorry Yann, but I finally tried the high palette on a short 19 frame .flc that
I needed. The results are the same as usual—poor. Lots of pixelation in
several areas. If you can duplicate the problem, how come I cannot get it
fixed? Am I the only person who can use .flc animations? You mentioned possibly
a bad version. How do I get it checked? Talk to my dealer?

Kevin, I rendered that same sequence with a high palette and looked a lot
better, but it wasn't great. I'd also rendered it with a low palette and my
flic looked like yours so we can rule out the bad copy of 3ds. I just don't
know what else to tell you now. The only thing that I can say is: beauty is in
the eye of the beholder, meaning that what may look good to me may not to you.
again you have to realize that you are working with a flic which is only 256
colors as opposed to a series of Targas using 16 million colors.
What resolution are the flics are they 320×200 or 640×480? The 640 one will
probaby look a bit better than the 320 ones.
Apart from that I just don't know.
