AdRam 540/ATOnce problem

I have recently added an ICD AdRam 540 board to my A500 (revision 6A on the board), and am pleased with the results. However, I have also attempted to add the Vortex ATOnce+ 80286 processor board to the 68000 socket and have encountered several extremely upsetting and annoying problems. Upon setup and configuration of the board (16 color CGA display adaptor mode) the screen began to flicker and flash at non- regular intervals. This persisted through several reboots, whereupon I shut the machine down, thinking to flush all memory and registers. I could not get the machine to start up from a cold boot unless I first turned the machine on, then immediately turned it off and on again. However, the random flickering persisted, getting worse with time. This problem persisted after an 8 hour shutdown. I have since removed the ATOnce, and have not had enough time to truly test it, but it seems to have solved the problem. The machine has the 1 meg (8372) Agnus, and I have performed the jumper wire modification, but I don't see how this could be any problem. I also use the 570 CDTV adaptor, but running the system with it unplugged doesn't seem to help or hinder the system as far as the flashing/flickering is concerned. Any help or information as to what the problem could be, and possible solutions for this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Peter
