There is a new graphic adventure game CD from ICOM called "Sherlock Holmes,
Consulting Detective." Has anyone out there played it? (I asked on the
gaming forums too, but no luck.)
I hear it is also available for the PC (not from anyone who played it, just
from someone who saw an ad in a PC gaming magazine), so maybe I should post
this query in another section.
Teri, I've not seen the Sherlock Holmes in stores yet but did see a review
in the new MPC World magazine that has just arrived on the newsstands. The
review is favorable and it's advertised at $69.95. I've been checking
periodically to see if the new "Where in the World etc." has arrived on
CDROM but no local stores have ordered it yet.

I have been told that Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective CDROM is
available from mail order places for as low as $40.00. A real bargain.

Not for the PC. I talked to ICOM the other day, and they told me it would
start shipping about the 2nd week in February.
Here is some heresay, but I all the comments I have seen on America Online,
Fidonet, and Usenet seem to be very positive as regards Sherlock Holmes
Consulting Detective. In case you did not know, SHCD costed 1 million
dollars to develop (actors, authentic costumes, etc.) and it originally
appeared in CD form for the NEC TurboGrafx home videogame system.
