#Alternative to AT-Vista?

James,
I, for one, would appreciate it if you didn't presume to speak for the entire
state. I'm one of the founders of the state's largest 3D Studio User Groups,
and would not presume to speak for the members of our group, much less the
entire state. I understand you're a new dealer from Green Bay, Wisconsin. I
have no idea how many sales you have to support, but there are a great number
of people who come on this forum who have not received even competent support
from their dealers despite Autodesk's rhetoric on the issue. They just
continue to ignore their end users. If you don't think so, just forget your
secret handshake phone numbers, use an alias, and try to get someone from the
company to even return a phone call to address an issue which under Wisconsin
law they probably have a legal responsibility to address. I've been in
business for a number of years and have found Autodesk's business policies to
be deplorable, so far as it relates to its responsibilities to end users. But
I'm just one guy with an opinion that Autodesk has chosen to ignore on several
issues.

Roger,
I don't know who your dealer is (was) (will be) but there are conpitent dealers
on the forum who'd be happy to provide you phone support (I being one of them).
We have a couple support options available. Sometimes dealers who give the
"best price" can do so by ignoring support. If you did actually purchase
support from your dealer, I go back and demand either satisfaction or a return
of that support money. If they decline, I'd report the dealership to Autodesk
… they do keep tabs on these things.

Roger:
What the H..l are you talking about?
Your message made no sense…when did I ever try to speak for the state of
Wisconsin?
Perhaps you've gotten a conversation between James Murphy and James Murray
mixed up.. or…. misunderstood something _I_ said because I sure as H..l
didn't presume anything.
Whats this stuff about wisconsin law?
I'm afraid I don't get it. Your going to have to explain to me what your
talking about.
As far as your statement:
<<< I've been in business for a number of years and have found
Autodesk's business policies to be deplorable,>>>
If you really feel like, that why don't you call Richard C. I'm sure he'd be
happy to address your concerns <g>

James,
If you read your message number 40763 in its context with the previous couple
of messages, it should be transparently clear to you. If in fact you did not
mean what you said, then I withdraw my comment.
