Kent, From the licence agreement, I don't know. Let me do some research. The question at hand is whether or not you need authorization to capture or record the user interface to 3DS, ACAD, etc. and distribue, display, or broadcast those recorded images. I'll ask around, but I can't guarantee a quick answer. I would imagine the same answer would apply to people who are writing publications on 3DS. Michele Bousquet, are you listening? Did you need to get prior authorization to duplicate the interface for the books you've worked on? I think the answer would be the same for Kent. -Brian

Brian/Kent: I know that Michele and I didn't have to get approval for the screen captures we did. We did, however, include the standard trademark clause in the front pages of the book. Just a layman's hunch but I'd say as long as you didn't misrepresent the screen captures as belonging to another product, you should be o.k. In other words, credit where credit is due. Jeff Hester

They're talking about the CD ROM which ships with 3D Studio (aka The World Building Toolkit). Is this what you wanted to know? Nik
