The Personal Recorder sounds interesting, but it's shy about $2000 from a
full-fledged SFR. And the SFR would give better results wouldn't it? The
SFR I refer to is the EVO-9650 from SONY.
For the $2000 you'd also have to buy a dedicated Hard Drive (A fast one
too I'd presume – with a whole LOT of space available).
Not sure of the economics of this thing, as it's probably going to run
about $2500 – $3000 to get the setup you want and the Sony EVO-9650 is
$4500.
Hmmmm….
