#CD-ROM Question

Not necessarily. Since the A500 edge connector is disappearing, one of our
dealers in the UK has cut the price from 300 to 147 pounds ($220 approx). Can
I get a scsi CD that cheaply elsewhere? If so, I'll consider it. Otherwise, I
need to find out how to hack it. Brian
Brian,
Yeah I noticed this sudden price slash of the A570, I think your
idea is kind of interesting. I know of no currently available SCSI CD-Rom
drive in the UK for that kind of money.
If it does turn out to be a SCSI rom drive I for one will be buying one.
By the way its not only one dealer selling at those prices, I have seen
it in the local shopping centres for the same price.

I'm pretty sure the A570 is not SCSI.

Well, if it isn't SCSI, I suppose the next thing is, hacking together a cable
which would plug into an a2000 bus. Does anyone think that that is a
feasibility? Anyone looked inside one of these beasties? Brian
That's not a bad price! There are some that are cheaper, but with the
A570, you get a "known to work with an Amiga" drive.
IF they were that cheap here, I'd get one myself. 🙂
