#Books In Print CD-ROM

I have just discovered the delights of CD-ROM technology in the shape of a new Mitsui drive! I am finding it very difficult to find suppliers with more than a few CD-ROM titles for clip-art and reference material in the UK. a) Does anybody know of any CD-ROM suppliers who have a comprehensive catalogue? b) I am particularly interested in the CD-ROM for "American Books In Print". Does anyone know who publishes it? I would be happy with sharing the cost of a monthly subscription with someone, and sharing every other disc! I believe that as a "foreigner" I can purchase the discs at a much lower rate (for export)! The UK publishers of "British Books In Print" have special rates for USA subscribers: their number is +44 (0)71 836 8911. Again, I would be happy to consider a shared subscription to reduce costs. Brian, Books in Print (US version anyway) comes from RR Bowker, in New York. They also publish other 'bookish' materials, both on paper and CDROM. All are priced for the library reference market (ie high). Frank

Brian, Welcome to CDROM & the forum. In reply to your first question, " Does anybody know of any CD-ROM suppliers who have a comprehensive catalogue?" yes, a firm called CD-ROM, Inc. of Golden Colorado have an excellent catalog. I'm presently travelling and don't have the address handy, but they are probably listed in one of the libraries in this forum.
