I bought a 486dx2 (66mhz) from a vendor here in Toronto I asked him to get a
Pro Audio Sonic Sound card adn a texel internal cdrom drive. First of all he
set the cdrom up such that I didn't get double spin (I corrected that). Now
that I have tried to play audio cds from the drive from windows, I have
discovered that it only works if I plug my speakers in the headphone jacks of
the cdrom drive. When I investigated further it seems the audio out wire from
the cdrom is left dangling in my machine. On further examination I can see why,
the connector from the texel drive that would normally connect to the sound
card is different than what is expected by the PAS card (I don't know
connectors from a hole in the ground but I can see that the end would plug into
the 5 pin receiver on the card. Is there a special connection that I can get to
plug the two together so that I can use the audio out of my cdrom through the
PAS card or did I just get ripped off.
