Johm: I go between Amiga and MS-DOS WordPerfect all the time. Its as simple as pie! Have the Amiga folks use CrossDOS, which allows the Amiga's drive to function both as an Amiga drive and an MS-DOS drive (CrossDOS is commercial, but there are some PD programs which do the same thing). You will have to use the regular double-density disks, not the 1.44mb jobs. Then all you have to do is load it into your MS-DOS WP like a regular file. BTW, your partner should NOT use WP's IBM export item (on the TEXT IN/OUT menu)…it doesn't work worth beans! Just do a straight save to the Amiga/CrossDOS drive. Going in the other direction, save WP files in the 4.1 or 4.2 format so that the Amiga WP can read it. WP5.1 puts alot of "stuff" in the file that causes Amiga WP headaches! If your partner isn't using WP, then have him or her save the program as a plain vanilla ASCII file (there's usually an option on any word processing program). You will lose all of WordPerfect's text formats (e.g., italics, bold, etc.), though. Then again, you could buy an Amiga! And have fun computing! 🙂 Hope this helps, Nick
