#CSM going to meeting

"I just got off the phone with Mike Levin of the Commodore ShareHolders
Movement!! Don't go throwing out those Amiga Computers yet!!"
I haven't 8^)
"So the decision…while not made yet…is fairly clear. Cut your loses
now and lose what you've got invested, or take a chance and start with a
fresh look in charge! What would you do?? Since we are talking millions
of dollars lost…I think they'll take the second option!"
I hope they take the second option as well. I don't think anyone here
wants to see CBM go down the tubes because the death of CBM means the
death of the Amiga. I have too much damn money invested in this platform
to be switching to a PC or Mac 8^)
"One of the reasons that CSM has been called in is that they have a person
that is not only ABLE to take the reins of day to day operations….but is
WILLING!! He is wiling to put his own reputation on the line to do what
needs to be done to make C= the money making company that we all know it
can be!"
I wonder who this SuperExec is? He would either have to be quite nuts to
be willing to take a company like CBM and turn it around, or a dreamer.
But it would be nice to see someone in charge who has a long term vision
for the company, rather than a short term "How much is my paycheck?" type
of attitude.
"This will be a meeting with the "big boys" of the Amiga….NewTek, GVP,
go ahead, name some more….they're all invited!! This meeting will be
the turning point in the focus of the company! Discussions which will
point the way to the future with the support of the companies that are
firmly behind the Amiga and her many users!"
Good, it's about time! CBM should be more involved with the 3rd party
developer's and not just CAT's as they have now. It should include
discussions on marketing, R & D, future directions, etc. Lets just hope if
something like a summit meeting does happen, that CBM actually listens.
"Stay Tuned, Boys and Girls….Round 2 is just beginning!!!"
Well next week could be rather interesting 8^)

Isn't John Sculley unemployed right now? How about Iacocca? 🙂

I think Sculley already found a job 8^) However, if anyone could turn CBM
around it would be Lee Iacocca, although I don't think he could count on a
infusion of cash from Uncle Sam like they did for Dodge.

It should be noted that John Scully IS available – he resigned from Spectrum, I
gather …
