As you might have noticed Aforums commented to my reply to your first
message. They seem to imply that GNS Dialplus are responsible for my slow
downloads. I've tried now to connect directly to CIS in London, quite an
improvement over GNS,the only snag is that I live outside London. Mecury
is no option from where I live, and most of the numbers listed support
only 2400 baud.
