Tutorial Videotape Set for Imagemaster R/t Released! —————————————————— Kinetic Visions – April 4th, 1994 – Black Belt Systems Kinetic Visions, in cooperation with Black Belt Systems, has created the ultimate instructional video course for Imagemaster R/t. Each course package consists of three videotapes and two datadisks. This comprehensive video instructional course has been in continuous development for almost a year and has been carefully examined and approved by the Technical Support Group at Black Belt Systems both during development and for final release. Great attention was paid to ensure it to be accurate, up to date, and informative, as well as enjoyable to watch. These instructional classes in becoming a true "image master" are designed for the Beginner to Intermediate level user. They make up an excellent step by step path towards learning all the most important aspects of Imagemaster R/t. During the classes on the tapes, on- screen demonstrations are conducted using specific images; the same images that are included on the accompaning data disks. The course has been designed to encourage the viewer to follow along, as well as experiment on their own systems. The course is divided into three sections, each on its own videotape: Part 1 – (75 minutes) ——————— Concepts and theory behind Imagemaster R/t; Memory considerations… The on-line Hypertext Documentation… How to custom configure your own system… Navigating the program structure… Area selection tools… importing and exporting various imagery in different graphic formats… retargeting your display to various output hardware… Onion Skin display… System and monitor aspect ratios thouroughly explained… Info, Buffer, File I/o and Setup Panels thouroughly explained and their uses demonstrated. Part 2 – (105 minutes) ———————- The Image Manipulation panels; Process, Compose and Paint…. are covered in great, painstaking detail… Practically every tool, process, effect, and modification is explained, and most of them are also demonstrated using the images contained on the tutorial data disk set. Part 3 – (34 minutes) ——————— This is a lead-you-by-the-hand, step by step tutorial. You'll load a raw digitized image from one of the datadisks, cut it away from its background, and replace the background with a new color. Then, you'll smooth the edges and composite that new image into another, also included on the data disks, in the process creating another new image. Then, you use the blend control panel to apply different edge fades and transparencies (also known as "alpha channel compositing"). Also covered are clipping, image resizing, color balancing, zooming, contrast control, other blend panel options and much more. The complete three tape, three disk package is scheduled to be advertised for $67.95 + 5$ S&H and sold directly by Kinetic Visions. However, through an exclusive marketing agreement with Black Belt Systems, registered owners of Imagemaster R/t can purchase this comprehensive Imagemaster Apprentice tutorial set directly from Black Belt Systems for only $49.95 plus $5 S&H within the USA (slightly more abroad).
