Every time NT starts up, I get the standard "At least one serice or driver failed…" It's caused by the following "errors." 1) "While validating that COM2 was really a serial port, a fifo was detected. That fifo will be used." 2) "The borwser has forced an election on network \Device\NBF_Elnk301 because a master browser was stopped." 3) "The browser has forced an election on network \Device\Streams\NWNBLINK because a master browser was stopped." The first one is correct in that the computer does have a 16550 UART, but I've been unable to set that as a permanent setting. As far as the other 2 go, the WNTRK basically says that the "election" is no big deal, and that no changes are necessary. That's all fine and dandy, but the "light" next to the error(s) are red and the "At least one…" comes up every time. What's the next move? jason There is 1 Reply. Read action !

Yes, they are. I'd like to avoid these from popping up the "At least one service…" message. I know they're not really errors, but NT seems to be insistent that they are… jason There is 1 Reply. Read action !

all the pop ups I get are errors, maybe transient but errors. What all have you set up for automatic services? Read action !
