>The DPS folks at NAB were showing some of the juiciest video captured and played back off the >PAR I have ever seen. I mean it looked GREAT! IMHO of course. <g> The steak/lobster footage was from a Beta-Cam demo reel that Sony lent us. I glad that the subject made you hungry! Dave DPS

Dave, What can I say, the food they were serving at the convention center left a lot to be desired and I was hungry, thirsty, my feet hurt and man, it looked soooo good. Really some great footage from Sony and an impressive product from DPS. Have you folks done any testing with Digital Beta Cam yet? I have been curious about whether the PAR output would come up to the bandwidth of Digital Beta. Curiosity killed the kat. Michael B.

There is no indepent way to judge, but I would note that the PAR is a analog video output device and should prolly be compared to like ie: a UVW-1800 Betacam deck or the like. Dave DPS

>>PAR is a analog video output device and should prolly be compared to like ie: a UVW-1800 Betacam deck or the like. The UVW-1800 isn't too shabby. Thanks for the suggestion, I am just displaying my video ignorance again with dumb questions. Michael B.
