Hey Folks, We are now using our Amigavision Pro kiosk program to run a video on the hour and the half hour. Unfortunately there is a slow down in the computer systems clocks that cause the time to lose about 3 to 5 minutes every 30 minutes. Are there any calls in AV that will cause this to happen? It occurs on 2 different manufacturer's clock boards. -John- via AutoPilot

John, I'm no expert in your field and don't really know what hardware you're running with, but the after the Amiga powers on and loads the clock from what ever source, it continues the clock on a software basis, it can get out of synch (I believe). Maybe if you reloaded the clock from the hardware, using a 'SETCLOCK LOAD' every now and then you could keep the the soft clock more in synch with your hardware clock and the 'real time'(?). Robb

Robb, I tried your suggestion. After a period of about a day, reading prefs showed the clock was about 20 minutes slow. Issuing a SETCLOCK LOAD set the clock back on track. I was under the impression that the PREFS time showed what the hardware clock was reading. You were right! Thanks. -John- via AutoPilot
