GOBI DESERT FOSSIL SUMMARY +++++++++++
Key findings from a fossil site in Mongolia's Gobi desert:
–The site produced nearly 100 dinosaur fossils, 175 fossil lizards and
skulls and skeletons of 147 rare mammals.
–The fossil are about 80 million years old.
–Findings include well preserved dinosaur eggs, more than a dozen skeletons
of small meat-eating dinosaurs called theropods and six skeletons of the
armored ankylosaur dinosaur.
