WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO ADD SOUND TO ANIMATOR PRO FLICS? This is such a common question here and I really haven't seen terribly good answers. There seem to be a number of multimedia products on the market which claim to be capable of doing this. My quest and ideal criteria: 1. Affordable (around $100 – $150) 2. Attach sound files to flicks in a "frame-triggered" manner for optimum synchronization. 3. Allow easy editing. 4. Playback from Hard-drive or RAM. 5. Playback both low-resolution and high-resolution animations. 6. Playback is full screen size. Possible candidates: MMPLAY Pros: Cheap/Free with a Soundblaster card. Allows rudimentary synching. Cons: Really tough to do if you generate flicks of any complexity. Disney Animation Studio: Pros: Cheap. Satisfies criterea 1,2,3,5,6. Cons: Only playback from RAM, limiting animation length. Proprietary file formats for both sound and animation create a difficult hurtle. PC Animate Plus: Pros: Seems to satisfy criterea 1,2,5,6. Cons: I don't have it. Presidio software, its creator, seems to have gone out of business. Pacific Software has taken over its marketing. Question: Has anyone tried this software for the above task? Q/Media 1.2 Pros: Seems to satisfy all of the Criteria. Cons: None that I can see, but I don't own this. Anyone else know anything about this?

AASOUND does not exist any more. However I believe Jovian Logic bought most of the technology (and perhaps the programmers). They are on CI$ somewhere, and their phone number is/was 510/651-4823. Nik
