Jonas,
I just purchased my own copy of 3D Studio r3 for home the other day. When I
went to install it tonight, it gave me an data error on disk 5. I did a
surface scan on this disk and it is damaged somehow. I tried to call Autodesk
several times, and it has been busy now for about 2 hours. What should I do?
Thanks,
KC
Probably the fastest thing for you to do is contact your nearest, bestest Adesk
Multimedia dealer and have him arrange to replace the faulty disk.

The process to replace those discs goes through your dealer.
Call your dealer and they'll instigate the process.
