#Internet from Amiga?

After leaving a job at which I used my office Macintosh to access the
Internet via TCP/IP, I am now faced with using a commercial dialup service
from home, using my Amiga.
I've selected a service provider, and they offer SLIP & PPP. I would like
to find some intuitive software to use on my Amiga using SLIP or PPP, so I
don't have to settle for VT100 and "rn" and other such interfaces from the
Unix shell.
I think that I will need 1) a SLIP or PPP driver and 2) a program to use
it and provide the GUI. I'm most interested in FTP, email, telnet and
gopher.
The product(s) can be shareware, PD or commercial. Shareware or PD are
preferred, since I've been burned too many times by commercial software
that didn't work as promised (but then, that's why I'm asking for
recommendations).
Suggestions?

In msg 138678, I asked for recommendations that would allow me to use my
Amiga with a local Internet provider who offers SLIP and PPP. I neglected
to give my configuration.
I'm running AmigaDOS 2.04 on an Amiga 2000, with 4.5 meg fast ram, .5 meg
chip ram.

Don't know much about this but saw a post elsewhere a while back extolling
the virtues of something I believe was called Mosaic, which evidently is a
user-friendly interface for Internet that's available for the amiga (as
well as other platforms). Whether SLIP or PPP are compatible with it, I
couldn't tell you.
AmiTCP is what you want and it is available here, as is a SANA-II SLIP
driver. FTP, POP (email), telnet are all included or available here
seperately for AmiTCP. I'm not sure about Gopher. Mosaic would probably
do the trick for you, and that is avaiable here. To get the best from
Mosaic, you need 3.0 (datatypes).

AmiTCP is the one to go for. Release 3 is currently in beta but the
previous version (2.2 I think) is freely available on Aminet.
This comes with the necessary drivers to set up a SLIP connection to your
service provider, telnet & ftp clients are included.
For a newsreader try the latest version of GRn (2.1) which can read news
from a news server using nntp.
For a mailer try the latest release of ELM for the Amiga. This looks and
feels identical to the UNIX version but it is I beleive the best Amiga
mailer available. There are two Intuition based ones called AVM & AM but
I'm not sure if they can handle smtp. ELM can run over smtp.
Finally grab the InetUtils package from Mike B Smith which provides NNTP
(for news transport) and SMTP (for mail transport).
Mosaic (WWW) has been ported to the Amiga but version 3 Workbench is
required, a 2.0 port is rumoured though.
