Hi! Im new here, so forgive me if Im intwrong forum! Cann anyone recommend a CD-ROM company that will produce (manufacture) CD disks? Somewhere in the New York metro-area would be nice, but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanx, Kim.

There are several companies that do discs: Discovery in Dublin OH, Nimbus Records, 3M, American Helix, Disc Manufacturing Inc, PDO and others. The best bets are companies which people here recommend and have had discs pressed by. Discovery Systems was once the sponsor of this Forum. Our customers have used all of the pressing facilities at one time or other and I"ve seen quality pressings from most.

Roscoe, Discovery is still the sponsor of the forum… I'm just rather hesitant to yell "We can do it!" everytime somebody asks about who can make discs. – Lupes

Funny, we tend to not mention our competition either, and I never refer anyone to S*ny for pressing. I had a customer today asking about making a disc from Amiga data in ISO or HSG formats. CAn they send a Amiga hard drive in the native format for conversion into a CD? I know you (DS) can do that with Mac or DOS, but the Amiga??? Not sure how to advise. He kept getting confused with CD-I, CD-TV and standard Amiga graphics and sound file formats. Can you shine a little light on that for me?

Roscoe, I'm not sure that we can do a disc from an Amiga drive. If you'll send me (via CompuServe Mail) your friends name and phone number I'll have somebody who _CAN_ answer that give him a call. – Lupes
