#Power PC?

Hi,
Any chance of 3DStudio version for the Power PC?
Thanks.
Andy,
Does the PowerPC have a mathco? I believe that it doesn't – a major drawback
for 3DS support.
Nik
P.S. I have not heard any plans for a PowerPC version, unlike the SGI
announcement earlier for a SGI Rendering-only module. Jonas will keep this on
the wishlist. (Thanks, Jonas)

The PowerPC chip *does* have a very good mathco, (fpu). Better even than the
Pentium's. I think the confusion arises over the fact that on the Mac PowerPC
units, the fpu is disabled in any of the emulation modes; that's why ACAD won't
run on Mac's version. It runs great on IBM's PowerPC model, using the native
AIX operating system.

Ah! Got it. Thanks.

Just a note in this PPC can of worms, Lotus just announced it will drop all
development of Mac stuff and it will not port anything to the PPC. It believes
the market "isn't big enough".
