Actually, he's being a bit kind. The memory information is in the manuals, how
to set up the PIF file, etc. What is not covered is our post-release discovery
that the video environment provided by hi-res Windows drivers causes 3DS
typically to fail, usually with a Vibrant error message that hardware checks
fail.
The problem does not exist when you configure Windows for its 640x480x16 driver
(ech!). In my case, I have been able to run under hires Windows with my
Qvision driver and my Video7 drivers and still get 3D Studio to run.
I'm not about to recommend rendering under Windows though…

Thanx Nik Just so you know what I'm doing; I would like to run 3DS in Windows
when I lay animation to tape. I have SoftVTR, and run it in
Windows, and I would like to stop jumping in and out of the two native
environments. I have no intention of modeling or rendering in Windows.
