My firm is an A/E
firm that uses Autocad R12 & 3DStudio R3 in a DOS environment. I can print a
hardcopy of rendered images to 2 devices. One is a Mitsubishi S3600-30U Dye
Sublimation printer connected directly to my PC, other is an HP650C Design Jet
plotter connected via a Novell network. I currently use `EASYCOPY' to rasterize
and print .TGA files to the Mitsubishi device. This process is time consuming
and final output resolution is limited. To produce hardcopies of my images on
the HP650C I take .TGA files into `PhotoStyler' V2.0 and must convert these
images to a Windows format file to use the Windows Drivers that were provided
with the plotter. This process is also slow, and quite cumbersome when I do
not intend to alter the images in PhotoStyler.
Are there any drivers available to allow me to print directly to either of
these devices? Is there Autodesk or other third party software in use that
would help in decreasing my output time, and/or increase the resolution of
my hardcopy output? Is anyone else attempting to print any hardcopy
output from 3DS3 to either of these devices?
