We are trying to use a modem equiped in an Amiga 2500 running a Video Toaster.
The modem dials out, but disconnects soon after conecting with another modem.
We have tried turning the XOn/Xoff off, setting the Carrier Detect to On and
then Off and setting the DTR On and Off.
Could the problem be with the Serial Port?
Could the problem be the user?
Any help would be appreciated!

At what point does it disconnect? For example, I've seen people have a problem
when they call someone else directly, (as opposed to calling a BBS.) They'll
press "return" too early, before the modem handshaking has taken place – before
the "CONNECT" message appears. What type of communication software are you
using, and what type of system are you calling?
