If you hold an image for a number of frames, your flic will not grow
by much. A flic file uses delta compression. This means that for each
frame only the *differences* from the previous frame get stored.
When you hold an image for a series of frames, there's nothing
changing so there's not much to add.

This is a little trick that some animators use. Since *most* computers
cannot play back a flic file at 30 frames a second, but some of them
can do 10-15 frames a second In the Keyframer-Render Animation
Dialog Box, near the bottom, you have a choice of all, single, range
or n'th frame. By specifying every 2nd (or 3rd) frame, upon playing
the flic you can have 1/2 or 1/3 as many frames, and the playback
will approximate 30 frames/sec.

In R2, some gaming animators were forced to higher res' to achieve
satisfactory antialiased edges. With R3' greatly improved antialiasing
algorithyms, they can drop down to lower res and have very satisfactory
results. The lower the res, the less pixels to compute and the smaller
the flic file and the faster the playback. Even if you've already rendered
the animation, you are able to use video post to use your exsiting flic
and scale the animation to another resolution.
