A flic file uses delta compression. This means that for each frame only the *differences* from the previous frame get stored. With R3' greatly improved antialiasing algorithyms, they can drop down to lower res and have very satisfactory results. The lower the res, the less pixels to compute and the smaller the flic file and the faster the playback. Even if you've already rendered the animation, you are able to use video post to use your exsiting flic and scale the animation to another resolution. jonas[adesk]
