You need to have the printer font(s) available to POST, in IBM format, in
order to print a file. Alternately, if you're using CG fonts in PPage, then
you'll need to make PostScript fonts from them and put them in your
CGfonts:PS/ directory, so that POST will find them. The reason they work
with PageStream is that you are (I think) using the actual printer fonts
for screen display and PageStream is just dumping the screen to your
printer as a graphic. What kinds of fonts are you using for each
application?

I think the problem was the more basic one that I don't have the fonts
which PPage assumes are built into the printer, whereas Pagestream actually
has the fonts which it uses for Postscript printing, so it makes the
appropriate fonts available to Post. PPage does not, as best I can tell.

Mike: You're right, PPage doesn't have the fonts, although they have CG
equivilents and these can be turned into downloadable (albeit inferior)
fonts that POST could use. Very complicated stuff, if you ask me. Gary
