funky Monitor
3 messages in this thread
I have a 1+ year old A1200 and 1960 monitor, recently, within the last
week or so I have noticed that scan lines on the monitor seem to get
mis-aligned. For example, a line of text such as in this message will be
skewed. I have also noticed in the last day or so lines on the screen
actually causing what looks like a line of static.
This is an intermitant problem, but am concerned that it might get worse.
Anyone have any ideas if it is the monitor or something to do with the
A1200?

You have three elements that are all suspect until proven sound – monitor,
cable, and computer. The fastest method to try is parts substitution; swap out
the various pieces until you find which one is faulty. If I had to guess, I
would say it's the A1200.

Do you have a power supply, or set of speakers near the monitor? If you
do try moving them farther away from the system.
(This may not help, or be the problem.)
