Anybody out there know how to convert an Autocad 3-D object for use with Imagine PC? Heres the situation. I had an Autocad specialist create 3-D production drawings of my companies product. I want to raytrace the objects for use in literature (or possibly an animation), but the Imagine DXF import was stumped by the object. Object Spec's: Created in Autocad V. 12 C1 Used AME Advanced Modeling Extension Objects have been meshed using SOLMESH Command Total of 5 objects averaging 1.5 MB each in size when in DXF format. The objects are available in DXF, IGES or DWG format. My available hardware is a 486/50 with 12MB Ram running Imagine PC V2.9. I could pull another 4 meg ram off my home computer if required to bring it to 16. I might also consider purchasing a different 3-D package if necessary because the models cost $2,800 to create and arent that much use to me if I cant read them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hi! You might try contacting Syndesis in the AmigaVendor forum about conversions.
