How much does/will the emplant w/PC emu cost? Or at the least , how much does the emplant cost now. Also I must say that all those waiting with baited PC emulation thought remember back to when emplant first came out and hardly even worked. How will this be avoided in the PC emulation release? Did you learn anything from the somewhat spotted release of the MAC emu? Also, do you have any performance data for the emplant? As compared to say the machine it is emulating? Norton Sysinfo maybe?

The problem with EMPLANT's MAC emulation in it's early days was finances. Pure and simple. I developed the entire project on an A500 with a VXL*30 accelerator. When it was shipped out, it DID work perfectly with this configuration. Unfortunately, it was the only configuration it was tested on, so as fate would have it… it did not work on any machine with extended memory (A3000, or GVP accelerators). $100,000+ worth of equipment, and dedicated beta testers later we have a nearly perfected product (nothing's perfect). The IBM emulation has been in development for over a year. EVERYTHING we have done with the MAC emulation (from video drivers to I/O handlers) was designed to be used with ANY other emulation, such as the IBM emulation. This means that most of work was done by default (bug squashing included). I do not even anticipate the frequent software updates common with the MAC emulation, let alone any problems with it when first released.
