So YOU'RE the folks who did El-Fish! I've heard about it, and have been
looking around for a copy but no luck yet.

Hi Gary,
Hey, Gare, we are the ones. Took two years in the making but I think it was
quite a cool product, didn't you? Can't find a copy? Hmm. Should still be in
the stores… Seems like I could trade you a copy of El-Fish for a beta of
3DSv.5. <g> Any takers?
Seriously, AnimaTek is now creating a very special landscape editor as a
companion to 3DS. I think you know about it from Digimation (who also market
our BonesPro IPAS). It is going to be called AnimaTek's World Builder. It is
going to be really hot. Our designers in Moscow have only ONE mission… to
create the world's best landscape generator. And I think they are succeeding!
World Builder is not an IPAS (as you know) but rather a "companion" to 3DS…

PS I am taking the liberty of moving your message to the appropriate section.
Yeah I always wished it was turned into an IPAS.
Seriously.

Dennis, send me your phone number and I'll give you a call next week. I'm
interested in learning more about AnimaTek.

El-fish was great fun…. thanks.
I hope that World Builder will allow the user to have tight control over the
resultant meshes poly counts and block structures in particular. If so, it
could be an amazingly useful game design application.
Looking forward to more information.

PMJI, but I LOVE Bones Pro, and if you had anything at all to do with it thanks
so much.
I've seen the landscape images uploaded here by Digimation, and like many
others I'm very excited about the possibility of such landscapes incorporated
into 3DS. My only concerns about such an add on are:
1) Price (hope it remains in line with the IPAS type add ons)
2) 3D Studio compatibility. As a product which is not an IPAS, I have concerns
over being able to place 3DS objects in relation to the landscape, etc. To me
this is the biggest drawback of VistaPro — importing the resultant DXF mesh is
nearly impossible, due to the high face counts landscape ends up making.
That's kind of why I was hoping your product was IPAS rather than an add on,
but I would hope you have at least considered this requirement in your product.
I know Digimation says more information will be available after NAB in a couple
of weeks, but those of us who are trying to budget our 3DS funds in the face of
such overwhelming useful routines such as MetaReyes, MeshPaint, Key Factory,
LensFX, Bones Pro, KPT, etc. are anxious for any information which helps future
planning. Any info you can leak would be appreciated!
Well, let me just say that your WorldBuilder images that are in the lib's have
blown me away! Esp. the "tree-stump-in-meadow-by-forest" image!
