Hi. I am trying to morph a SKIN object. I have read the documentation, as the IPAS advises me to, and I understand that I must assign arbitrary mapping coordinates to the first morph target, but the IPAS keeps refusing to render, dropping out of the renderer. What have I done wrong? Help!

<< but the IPAS keeps refusing to render, dropping out of the renderer. >> Can you explain this more specifically ? Just do the following: 1) You can have a Material assigned to the morph objects, but if Skin.axp is applied to any of them, turn it OFF from the dialog. 2) Create a tiny cube out of the way, and assign Skin and any mapping to it. 3) In the Skin dialog, make sure to identify the morph object to point to. (your first morph object) Make sure you're wrapping the skin properly (Wrap Length, Perimeter, etc.) 4) Set the keys for your morph. Don't hide the pointer cube. 5) Render from the Keyframer, try enabling 2-sided in the Render dialog. That should work. BILL

I'm not clear, from your description, whether or not the skinned object isn't rendering for you at all, or if it's just not rendering with the material you're attempting to use. The basic procedure for morphing is outlined step-by-step on page 20. What happens to you at each step as you go through that tutorial? – G
