>>think of KPT..? <<< Yeap, KPT GD FX is good, notThere are quite a few limitations in the BXP external process architecture by 3DS4c1 to KPT GD FX. To put the negative first: You can't use two external process at the sametime. For example: An AXP material using KPT's GRD file to be as a map. Another one: VPost rendering as a .GRD background and having another GRD file as a map. I found this to be extremely limiting and have to invest in extra hd to store these monstrous animation files. On the positive side: Very good & attractive interface, a bit "novice- like" (I prefer more detailed controls.) Mainly, I used heavily for my captured video on the PAR. It add more nifty fx than just the footage itself. W/ the powerful MAT EDTR in R4, I simply combined the rotoscoped images & the GRD file. Quite a simple setup & fast. [You could use it for projection light, ect..] I love the layering capability that KPT GD FX is able to do. I just got it last month and still in trainning w/ it. Give me more time & I'll comment more. (Automated, allow ~24 hrs. for reply/read cycle) – TSL
